Rebecca (1) Woodhurst was born to parents William (7) Woodhurst and his wife Mary Ann Newcomb. Her birth certificate [Birth Index: Islington 1b 310, 1865 (June)] states that she was born on May 12th 1865 at her parents' address 6, Boleyn Place in Islington. Her mother's maiden name is misspelt as 'Lucombe'. The informant was her father, then occupied as a brickfield labourer.
Boleyn Place no longer exists as such, and neither does Back Road with which - according to the 1871 Census index - it was then associated. No Woodhursts were recorded anywhere in Boleyn Place in the 1861 or 1871 Censuses.
Rebecca (1) died in infancy [Death Index: Islington 1b 220, 1865 (June)].
