Guy Walter Woodhurst was born on November 21st 1925 to parents Walter Willie Woodhurst and his wife Velma Mae (nee) Hopke. Like his siblings, he was born in Perry, Ralls Co., Missouri.
The US 1930 Census finds him aged "6" living with his parents in Salt River, Ralls Co.
The US 1940 Census finds him aged "16" again living with his parents in Salt River.
He married at East Moline in Rock Island, Illinois on October 6th 1950 to Charlesa Orlene (nee) Heather. She was born on December 15th 1924 to parents Charles Otto Heather and his wife Minnie D. (nee) Swafford. Minnie had been previously married to Virgil Tedrick by whom she had produced a daughter Ozelma Lafern (nee Tedrick), step-sister to Charlesa.
Ozelma was born on November 6th 1913, married into the Walker surname and died in Galesburg, Knox Co. in Illinois on February 23rd 1999; her obituary was published in the February 24th issue of The Peoria Journal Star.
Shortly after marrying, Guy and Charlesa were living at 1144, 15th Avenue in East Moline where he was occupied as a labourer, as shown in a City Directory for 1951. Another City Directory shows them still living in East Moline in 1957 but at 305, Newton Avenue; he was then working as a grinder for Williams and White & Co., as also was his brother Roy Lee.
Charlesa's brother Delbert Heather married Guy's sister Estella Florence.
The American Social Security Death Index states that Guy died on August 13th 1990. His SSN, issued in Missouri before 1951, was 494-22-5348. He had been residing in Hooppole in Henry Co, Illinois. Obituaries for him were published in The Dispatch (from Moline) and the Quad-City Times (from Davenport, Iowa).
The SSDI further states that Charlesa was born on December 15th 1924 and died on June 21st 2000. Her place of residence had been Hooppole in Henry Co., Illinois. Her SSN, issued in Missouri before 1951, was 494-20-6828.
Brian Daniel is known to have resided in both Hooppole, Illinois and in Perry, Missouri.
