The 1881 Census finds him living with his parents at 136, Lea Bridge Gardens in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton in Essex.
The 1891 Census finds him living with his father and step-mother at 24, Northcote Road, Walthamstow in Essex.
The 1901 Census finds him boarding at 10, Albert Road in Walthamstow and occupied as a merchant's clerk. His brother Walter Alfred was also there with him.
He married in 1904 [Marriage Index: Romford 4a 924, 1904 (Sept)] to Maria Zaira Amelia Nannelli. A relative reports the following: Maria was born in 1882 [Birth Index: Luton 3b 406a, 1882 (Dec)] as one of several children born in England to Italian parents who had migrated from Florence; her father owned a large hat manufacturing company in North London employing over 100 people, and was reputed to have introduced the Panama hat into the UK.
George Albert (1) died aged 68 at Chadwell Heath, Essex in 1945 [Death Index: Romford 4a 335, 1945 (Sept)], and Maria died aged 75 at Gants Hill, Essex in 1957 [Death Index: Ilford 5a 412, 1957 (Dec)].
