The 1901 Census finds his widow Dinah aged 71 living at Ore on her own means at 1, Shaftesbury House in Middle Road, together with her unmarried daughter May Blanche.
The same descendant reports that Dinah died on January 14th 1915 [Death Index: Hastings 2b 15, 1915 (March)].
