Ann (3) Woodhurst was christened at Fairlight, Sussex on June 4th 1815 to parents Andrew (4) Woodhurst and his wife Ann [Fairlight Parish Register]. The register spells her name as "Anne Woodhouse".
She married Frederick Crittenden at Ore, Sussex in 1837 [Marriage Index: Hastings VII 373, 1837 (Sept)]. She is the first Woodhurst whose marriage was recorded in the GRO's index. The marriage certificate gives her age as 22 and her father's occupation as carrier. One of the witnesses was a Barbara Eldridge whose connection is unknown.
The 1841 Census apparently finds her and Frederick, with their surname misspelt as "Cruttenden", living at Morralls Farm, Whatlington in Sussex together with a 12-year-old girl Sarah "Woodhouse" presumed to be her sister Sarah (1). Frederick was occupied as a bricklayer.
Nothing more is currently known of her.
