Sarah Ann (1) Hogger was born in 1842 to parents James (3) Hogger and his wife Sarah (nee) Snell [Birth Index: Cosford XII 340, 1842 (June)]. She was christened on August 7th 1842 at Lavenham [PR: Cosford DB].

In 1868 she married a carpenter and builder William Thomas Goold [Marriage Index: Cosford 4a 735, 1868 (Sept)]. They married on September 10th 1868 at Lavenham; he was born in Ipswich to parents William Goold and his wife Harriet (nee) Turner [Birth Index: Ipswich 12 321, 1847 (Sept)], and was christened on November 7th 1847 at Lavenham [PR: Cosford DB].
