James (3) Hogger was born to parents Thomas (2) Hogger and his wife Jemima (nee) Pilgrim. He was christened on May 26th 1813 at Lavenham [PR: Cosford DB].
In 1838 he married Sarah (nee) Snell [Marriage Index: Cosford 12 421, 1838 (June)]. They married on April 17th 1838 at Lavenham [PR: Cosford DB]. Sarah was born around 1813 at Preston St. Mary as the daughter of John Snell, and may have been christened in 1816 at Lavenham [PR: Cosford DB].
The 1841 Census finds James (3) living with Sarah and their first child in Church End, Lavenham where he was occupied as a wheelwright.
The 1851 Census finds James (3) and his family living in Church Street, Lavenham - next door to the family of his brother Alfred (1) - where he was occupied as a wheelwright.
The 1861 Census finds them still living in Church Street next door to Alfred (1). James (3) was again occupied as a wheelwright.
The 1871 Census finds the family again in Church Street where James (3) was still occupied as a wheelwright.
He died at age "63" [Death Index: Cosford 4a 325, 1877 (June)] and was buried at Lavenham on April 28th 1877 [PR: Cosford DB].
Sarah died at age "65" [Death Index: Cosford 4a 320, 1878 (Sept)] and was buried at Lavenham on August 17th 1878 [PR: Cosford DB].
