Ellen (1) Hogger was born to parents Samuel (1) Hogger and his wife Susanna (nee) Farthing. She was christened on October 29th 1826 at Brent Eleigh [PR: Cosford DB].
The 1841 Census finds her at age "14" living in the household of her married cousin Martha (1) in Church Street, Monks Eleigh where she was occupied as a servant.
The 1851 Census finds her at age "24" unmarried and living as a house servant in the Street, Stoke by Nayland in the household of the incumbent vicar Charles Martin Torlesse. Also present was her cousin Ann (1), likewise an unmarried house servant.
In 1858 she married William Walker [Marriage Index: Cosford 4a 951, 1858 (Dec)]. They married on December 23rd at Lavenham; William was born to parents Joseph Walker and his wife Mary (nee) Spight and was christened on May 3rd 1835 at Lavenham [PR: Cosford DB].
The 1861 Census finds them and their daughter living in Church Street, Lavenham. William was occupied as a groom.
The 1871 Census finds them living at 10, High Street, Lavenham. William was again occupied as a groom and Ellen (1) as a laundress.
The 1881 Census finds them living in Church Street, Lavenham. William was now occupied as a coachman.
The 1891 Census finds them living in the High Street, Lavenham. William was now occupied as a cow keeper.
Ellen (1) died aged "67" in 1893 [Death Index: Cosford 4a 377, 1893 (June)]. She died on June 6th at Lavenham and was buried there on June 10th [PR: Cosford DB].
William was occupied as a groom/gardener in 1898 [PR: Cosford DB].
He died aged "69" in 1904 [Death Index: Cosford 4a 418, 1904 (June)]. He died on June 12th at Lavenham and was buried in the cemetery there on June 16th in Grave No. 291 [PR: Cosford DB].
Ellen Maria was christened on October 9th 1859 at Lavenham [PR: Cosford DB]. She died aged "18" in 1878 [Death Index: Cosford 4a 318, 1878 (June)]. She died on May 19th at Lavenham and was buried there on May 25th, her gravestone describing her as "the only child of William and Ellen" [PR: Cosford DB].
